First posting

Ah the choices of setting this up! It will take a little time to 'fine tune' the page, but its a start.
Okay so what have we been doing?
Well, two weeks ago now Stacy and I went to visit with Mike and Brenda to see their new home as well as visit with my Father and Mother who were visiting. We had to work around Stacy's days off so it was a three day visit with one day there and two travel days.
All the storms flooding and disaster in the Seattle area happened right after we'd left. It was a great visit and we really like the new home. I haven't been able to see any of them since last year so I really liked the visit and getting together again. We got the grand area tour which was nice since I'd never spent any time in that part of the state before. The area is very picturesque. Mike's home is very near the flight paths of the area navy base and that brought back memories of our home in California. The first few years we lived there George A.F.B. was still operational and the F-4's and T-38's were often in the air.
Anyway, we also got to see some of the families VHS home movies from the 80's. We really enjoyed seeing the changes in people from the years. Some were pretty drastic, like Connie's weight loss. Some weren't, like Dan G. He was definitely the same guy then. He's just older now and still funny. A friend we'd met last year on our trip, Dan R., was also seen in a late 80's Beach Boy kinda look. Hopefully we'll get to see more of those later. That is of course if any of the people we've talked about don't get to them first!
On our return home we got the effects of the same storm a couple of days later. Almost 3 feet of snow in a day and a half. Then it warmed to rain here and melted most of the snow and caused a lot of area flooding. I dealt with mops and towels in our basement/pantry also. Just too much water too quickly. After two days it froze again which stopped the leaks. We've had a lot less snow than last year so far. It's been cold though! Down around zero a couple of nights and only in the 20's in the daytime.
Due to the upcoming holidays my sub-bus driving is slowed a little, which is fine with me. Took the boys Basketball team to a game in Cour De' Alene last night. While they were playing and I was in the bus watching a movie, someone went into the locker room and took their money and some wallets. When they came out they were understandably upset. Hopefully the person or people involved will be caught.
Today Stacy is getting overtime to go down to CDA to pick up some bikes donated to the city. She didn't know if they are for the Sheriff's Office or to be turned around and given as gifts for area families.
Oldest daughter Sandy was in U.A.E. Dubai last week for sessions with the local design teams to get a new hotel project back on track. On the way back she had a meeting in Milan Italy. She's quite the world traveler and that is something she'd always wanted to be. Laura and Russell seem to be doing well. Tyler had been sick with a case of Bronchitis. There were concerns of Asthma, but those apparently have been put to rest. Thank goodness! Sean is truck. He'd had a stick and with the San Diego traffic he'd already gone through a clutch, so this new automatic is great for him and his wife.
