A relaxing day

And well, it kinda has to be a relaxing day because its been snowing since yesterday afternoon and so far it's about 4 inches. So no rush to get out in the mess. The highways are usuallykept clear, the county roads it can take a day or so to get those all plowed.
Stacy just left for her shift at dispatch. She's still on cloud nine over the new position, I am also for her to have regular hours again!
After working with those friendly folks from India for Belkin last night it turns out that the wired connection problem with our other computers is with the router. They say we need a new router and last night were all ready to send out a new one and then we'd send back the old one. But they called back this morning and said they don't have our model in stock so we'd need to send in ours to get fixed and sent back to us.
When I asked how long we're talking about, he couldn't say with the holidays and such coming up, one week to a month, so I guess we'll get a new router at Wal-Mart and fight it out with Belkin to cover it that way.
We spent the morning/early afternoon watching Christmas movies. Stacy loves Christmas time more than any other holiday season.

Let's see, oh yes. I'll tell about recent movies we've seen. Thumbs up or down. We have Netflix, thanks Sandy for starting us on that last year, and we're at the see one send it back and get another plan which works well for us.

Recent movies-
Transformers. Well I wanted to see that. Glad I didn't buy it first! I was disappointed. Yes great effects, but waaaaaaay to long. And to dis-jointed in the storyline. Maybe if I'd been a kid in the first era of the Transformers I'd have liked it better. Rent it, don't but it first!

The Ultimate Gift. This movie was a gamble, I'd heard about it and read about it on the Netflixs site. Turned out to be a very good movie. Yes predictable, it's GOT to have the happy ending, but getting there was a little different with some unexpected twists. We recommend seeing it!

Next movie up, Reign Over Me.

Hope all is well for everybody! Tad

You two seem to have a lot on your plate these days, but at least you are happy. I will not let Russell know that you disliked Transformers, you will be on your hit list dad :). Love you guys, and miss you. Tyler is getting better, and I am not coughing as hard. Russell sounds like he is feeling better today, but we will see. Truely miss you,

Just an update

It is getting more like fall to winter now in our area. All the weather forecasts give the possible snow levels and altitudes in the recordings. The temps have been in the low 50's for the past week which is the normal temp range. It has warmed up at night to the low thirties from the low twenties of last week and earlier this week. Next week it's forecasting only low to mid forties! For the high temps! In looking at photos and the older blogs, last October 27th, 2009, was the first snow of the season back then. Will it snow around the same time this year? Stacy and I are both off work next week because our daughter Laura and her son, the only grand kid so far, will be flying out this Sunday for a weeks visit. Stacy and I are really looking forward to the visit. Last time Laura was here was in the summer of 2006 for a couple of weeks. Quite a lot has changed in her little family since then! And Tyler is 4 years old now so he might do more than sleep or cry as he did last visit!...

Its Fall again!

Although the date this says 'posted' is from a while back, I'm online to type about theses photos and get this posted for you to see today, October 12th! I'd uploaded these and the next post couple of photos fully intending to get right back to it in a day or so, it just didn't happen like that. Stacy's father took a trip to California to visit family out there and since he was gone (he's getting back tomorrow night) we've been very busy working at home as well as stuff going on at work. So it's been busy, busy, busy! Stacy left this morning to fly to Boise for meetings (again!) and will be back late tomorrow too. On to these photos; top one is actually on our property, just out back in the forest. The fern was just going yellow to gold then, on this fall morning, it is really golden and rust browns now just a couple of weeks later. Middle photo is a road a little over a mile away in the early evening that I liked with the late day sun on the Aspen ...

I can't say I'm on a roll just yet, but here's a new post!

So, to continue with last weeks story. In August, Stacy finally got the trailer she's been wanting all along. Yes, while I like the larger, around 28 to 30 foot or so, RVs, Stacy has kept the idea that smaller is better. Smaller can go pretty much anyplace you'd want to camp and our 5th wheel, at 34-feet long, while it can go most places, it can't go 'anyplace' due to the length. When we got the 5th wheel in July 2017, I was surprised Stacy was willing and even suggested, we go for it trading in our 33-foot travel trailer to get the Jayco. Again, the "Wildcat Maxx" was a nice travel trailer. It had made several short and two long trips in the almost two years we'd owned it. We lucked out as in an era of the rapid assembly to make the crazy sales numbers the RV industry has been having, the Wildcat was "completed on a Wednesday by happy Amish at the factory" as we didn't have any of the build issues I still read about from the appar...
