Our updates for all of you

Made it home on Saturday in the late evening. Sure was glad to be here. Yep, the house was still standing and there was even some food left in the refridgerator. Not bad for two guys!! I have to go to work tomorrow, and I hope the day isn't too crazy with things to fix or attend to! Sean and Brandy will be here in a few weeks, can hardly wait for that.

Well I flew down yesterday from Spokane to Boise for Stacy's graduation from the POST Academy. Because of all the still winter weather in this area, the plane from Los Angeles was delayed thirty minutes. Got to Boise, got the car and headed to Meridian to the motel. Stacy was able to meet with me after her dinner at the Academy and we got to spend some time talking about all that's happened in the past almost two weeks. Then she had to get back for her final night there. They were checking all the attendees out from their rooms by 7 am, so she was up by 5:30 am to get the room to the necessary specks for the final room check. I got to the Idaho State Police training facility at about 11 am (10 by my watch because the south end of the state is on mountain time) for the 1 pm ceremony. I watched some Utah to Oregon motorcycle police training at the adjoining track for a while, glad that I didn't ride my Gold Wing down like we'd originally talked about. It was "unseaso

First day of spring. The snow has been slowly disappearing. It has stayed cool enough to keep it all from rapidly melting and quickly flooding the basement or cause too many problems for area people. So that has been nice. I was very concerned we'd be really bailing out the basement if the weather had warmed up fast like it used to in California. Winters there were more often than not a long fall, a few weeks of 'winter' like weather followed by a month or so of spring before going to blazin' hot by May. For our area here the first day of spring meant morning temps of upper 20's around 5:30 am followed by about an hour of heavy snow at 8:30 am. This afternoon it became windy, partially sunny, but still cold and only about 44 for the high. Stacy is winding up her first week of her two week stint at the Juvenile Probation Officer (JPO) P.O.S.T. Academy near Boise. Because of the distance, about 500 miles, she's going to stay down there for the weekend. Plan

Last post was way back on Feb 20th. Guess you could say we've been pretty busy! Most interesting thing that's happened just happened last weekend------- Last Friday(3/7) to Saturday(3/8) we helped by transporting the belongings of a friend of Stacy's move from this area to the Seattle area. I'd drive the 28 foot U-Haul, Stacy would follow in our truck for the return trip. I went with the friend on Thursday to pick the truck up about an hour away, got it to her place and then helped load with her other friends until I had to leave to go drive that afternoon. I was surprised with U-Haul. While the truck itself was in good shape, as I was checking it over before leaving the U-Haul facility, I checked the engine to find it had no coolant in the overflow tank and was at least a quart low on oil. I went back to the office and asked for coolant and oil only to be told that they aren't serviced there so they don't keep anything like that there. I'd have to get them
